Created and Performed by: 2nd Year Performance Making Company
In this annual collaboration between WAAPA’s Performance Makers and Spare Parts Puppet Theatre, students plunge into the wild and wondrous world of puppetry and visual theatre. The company spends five intense weeks experimenting with form, material, and imagination – building worlds where objects breathe, images move, and stories unfold without words. Visual Theatre Lab showcases the students’ deep dive into visual storytelling and the strange beauty that emerges when the seen and the felt collide. Expect a peek into WAAPA’s rigorous performer training process. Invention, precision, and a dash of chaos – puppetry for the brave and the curious.
