Here/Now
In collaboration with and performed by: 3rd Year Performance Making Company
The river glitters, silence gathers, the future sinks beneath the waves. Time bends,
folding promise into memory as audiences are invited aboard this cosmic collision
of past and future. As the immense gravity of bed-rot pulls the collective towards
disconnection and dissociation, we shake ourselves awake just long enough to
look up from our screens and witness the exquisite impossibility of the present
moment. Amid global movements granting rivers legal personhood, this site-specific
experience anchors performance with a deep contemplation of
the Derbal Yerrigan as a living entity. Dancing on the existential edge of science and
spirituality, can we locate our selves in the here and now long enough to turn hope
into a renewable resource?
