Schneider, a seven-time Grammy Award winner and Pulitzer Prize finalist, is renowned for her richly textured, emotionally resonant compositions that have redefined the possibilities of large ensemble jazz. Her works – such as Concert in the Garden, The Thompson Fields, and Data Lords – blend jazz, classical, and avant-garde influences into sweeping musical narratives that explore themes ranging from nature and memory to digital culture and human connection. Presented in one of Perth’s newest and most acoustically advanced venues, this concert promises to be a landmark event for WAAPA and the wider jazz community.
