Written and directed by: Kyle Morrison
Based on The Bacchae by Euripides
In collaboration with and performed by: 3rd Year Performance Making Company
Featuring original music by: Dazastah (Darren Reutens)

This year, The Bacchae marks the rebirth of the Bachelor of Performing Arts’ annual Generator project – a platform for bold, large-scale collaboration between students and professional artists. Across two years of development, Yamatji/Noongar theatre artist Kyle Morrison and the graduating Performance Making Company have reimagined Euripides’ ancient tragedy through a contemporary Western Australian lens. The result is a work that wrestles with power, ecstasy, and belonging – a charged meeting of myth, movement, and music that asks what happens when old gods return to a country still finding its song.

Proudly supported by the Bass Family Foundation.
